Sunderland fans have been voting and three-quarters of those polled do not want Jack Ross to persist with his efforts to sign Jack Hendry on loan from Celtic.
The Mirror had linked the Black Cats with the 23-year-old after he failed to tie down a role for himself in Brendan Rodgers’ side since returning to the Bhoys in the summer.
The 3-cap Scotland international last featured for Rodgers in a 3-0 win over Hearts on October 28, coming on as a late second-half substitute for Kristoffer Ajer.
His loan departure is said to be part of a mass exodus following Lee Congerton, Celtic’s head of player recruitment, being touted as a target for Anderlecht.

Football FanCast then raised the question to Sunderland fans, asking whether they would take the youngster at the Stadium of Light, and the answer was clear.
74% of those who voted said no to Hendry linking up with Ross in the northeast, with concerns that the defender would not be able to cope with the demands of a promotion push.
When he has played for the Hoops, Hendry has struggled massively and looked completely out of his depth at times, and that is not the calibre of player that Ross needs at the Stadium of Light, which fans agree with.
