Manchester United have been given a cash injection update when it comes to Mason Greenwood, with transfer talk raging around the Marseille forward.

The Red Devils agreed to part with Old Trafford academy graduate Greenwood in the summer of 2024. He was, after enjoying a productive loan spell at La Liga side Getafe, allowed to head for France in a £27 million ($35m) deal.

Greenwood has enjoyed a productive debut campaign at Stade Velodrome, registering 15 Ligue 1 goals, but has seen his attitude questioned by Marseille boss Roberto De Zerbi of late. That supposed feud has fuelled speculation regarding an imminent move elsewhere.

Clubs from across Europe, including Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, have been linked with Greenwood. Any deal would see United pocket 50 per cent of any fee that changes hands, with the Premier League giants boasting a sell-on clause.
