After undergoing cruciate ligament surgery back in April, Timothy Fosu-Mensah finally looks set to make his long-awaited comeback from injury.
The Dutchman has played 21 times for Manchester United in the short-time he has been with the senior side, but spent the previous two campaigns on loan at Fulham and Crystal Palace respectively.
But in an update posted from the Red Devils’ official Twitter account, the 21-year-old was pictured training with the rest of the first-team.
And after seeing those images, United fans flooded to Twitter themselves to voice their thoughts on the 6 foot 1 man’s potential return to the side.
Many supporters of the Manchester side insisted he could prove to be a really intriguing option for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, and that his versatility (he has played at left-back, right-back, centre-back and in holding midfielder) could be a valuable weapon to have.
