Liverpool duo Darwin Nunez and Federico Chiesa have both agreed to join Napoli, according to journalist Gerardo Fasano.

According to Fasano, both Nunez and Chiesa have both given the green light to a move to Naples ahead of the 2025-26 season. Liverpool are hoping to use the pair as makeweights to bring in Victor Osimhen, but the Napoli striker has not yet given his approval to head to Anfield.

Osimhen would be a blockbuster signing for Liverpool and a potential upgrade on Nunez. The Uruguayan made 30 league appearances for Liverpool last season, but only scored five goals. Chiesa, meanwhile, barely got a look-in under Arne Slot after his 2024 move from Juventus, featuring in only six Premier League games.

The double signing of Nunez and Chiesa would continue what has already been a busy summer for Napoli, who have signed Manchester City legend Kevin De Bruyne on a free transfer. Antonio Conte is aiming to bolster his squad to compete at the top end of Serie A again and in the Champions League after delivering the Scudetto in 2024-25.
