Leeds United manager Garry Monk has revealed that Charlie Taylor is on his way back from an Achilles injury, but some fans are not too eager to get him back in the team.
Earlier in the season, Taylor was deemed an imperative member to the team and there was concern that the 23-year-old could leave after handing in a transfer request last summer.
However, since his injury, which was suffered just over three months ago, Gaetano Berardi has slotted into the left-back spot.
Not only has he provided decent cover for Taylor, he has impressed so much that a number of fans want him to keep the starting role for the rest of the campaign.
On Wednesday while addressing the media, Monk suggested that Taylor could return to the pitch in this Friday’s Championship game away to Birmingham City.
Some supporters are now concerned that Berardi will be taken out of the lineup to accommodate Taylor, who has made 25 appearances in all competitions this season.
