West Ham United fans on Twitter have been giving their views on the speculation linking former manager Slaven Bilic to the vacant managerial position at West Bromwich Albion.
Sky Sports reported on Wednesday that the Midlands club were eyeing up the Croatia boss as their first choice to take over following Darren Moore’s sacking earlier in the year.
Bilic was in charge in east London between the summer of 2015 and the early winter of 2017, most notably leading the Hammers to their highest Premier League points total in their final season at the Boleyn Ground.
That was the last managerial position he held in European football, being sacked early in the 2017/2018 campaign with the side languishing at the wrong end of the table and being replaced by David Moyes.
Some members of the Claret & Blue Army wished the 50-year-old well and seemed delighted that he could be back in English football soon, while another mused about his tendency to field players out of position by suggesting that Kieran Gibbs would be deployed in attack.
