Former England star Chris Waddle slammed Manchester United outcasts Antony and Jadon Sancho and advised them to leave the Premier League.

Sancho spent the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Chelsea, while Antony was pushed out of the club in the January transfer window on a short-term deal to Real Betis. The duo will now return to Old Trafford at the end of their respective loans but are unlikely to continue playing for the Red Devils.

Amid speculation over Antony and Sancho's futures, former England winger Waddle took a dig at the United outcasts, as he claimed that neither of the players are fast enough to compete in the English top-flight and should consider heading abroad again.
WHAT WADDLE SAID
Speaking to , Waddle said: "I think the best option for Jadon Sancho would be going back to Germany, or looking for a club in Italy or Spain. He went to Borussia Dortmund at a young age and the Bundesliga suits him, I think the pace of the Premier League doesn’t suit him, it’s too physical. I think he'd find it hard to find a club in the Premier League where he gets success and even gets a regular shirt, I'll be perfectly honest.
"If I was Jadon Sancho, I'd be looking to get back into the Bundesliga or even Ligue 1, La Liga or Serie A. He’s got talent, we have seen that, but in the Premier League he has really struggled. Whether it was the price tag or the expectation we don’t know, I just think the game for certain players is too fast and too physical. It’s the same for Sancho and Antony, I don’t think they can cut it in the Premier League."
