The Vikings announced on Friday that star receiver Justin Jefferson suffered a mild hamstring strain in his left leg this week and will be held out of practice for the time being.
Jefferson is expected to be re-evaluated next week sometime. More information regarding his future status will likely be released next week. Coach Kevin O'Donnell said Jefferson avoided a serious injury, so that's promising for fans to hear.
The four-time Pro Bowler told reporters on Thursday that he felt some tightness in his hamstring, ESPN's Kevin Seifert. He underwent an MRI afterwards.
There isn't a set timeline for Jefferson right now, but it is not believed that his Week 1 status vs. the Bears on will be in danger.
Jefferson suffered a hamstring injury during the 2023 season and missed over a month because of it. That injury was on his right leg, while it is his left hamstring this time.
Hopefully for the Vikings it isn't anything too serious for Jefferson.
